One room down ...
The wood walls are now beneath drywall and paint (a pale yellow called Sunrise Beach). Our bedroom is back together again, but that spurred other projects in the house, like organizing the office and trying to find homes for the old furniture. And I love the bedroom so much that I want to redo other rooms in the house -- but that's going to have wait until we save up more funds!

I love those curtains, and that armoire! Where did you get them?

The curtains are from Lowe's. I had them before we redid the room. They were hanging up before, but they are what I used to pick colors and stuff for the new look -- and I like them even better now. The furniture is Ashley Direct and we ordered it from Fleming's Furniture in Murray. Our room is pretty small, so we just got the sleigh bed, armoire and dresser. They are so much bigger than our old pieces though -- we consolidated four pieces into two. That's a good thing, with our lack of closet space and all. Gotta love old houses!

ReplyDeletegorgeous!! we got a sleigh bed with our wedding money last year...I can't believe the difference this bed has made in how I feel. Not only do I sleep better, but every time I walk into the room I feel...well, not like a college student or a kid. It's rather nice. I also LOVE those curtains! Can you come out and help us redec our old house? :)
